month in the world of darts, with a
major tournament being played on
either side of the darting divide in

There were also two worthy if
slightly predictable winners in the
form of Phil Taylor and Stephen
Bunting and I would like to
personally congratulate the two
of them on their continued major
success. For Phil it was just one
more in a string of major titles
which now amounts to over 70 in
all, and for Stephen it was a well
earned third major following his
success in the World Masters and
Zuiderduin Masters last season.

Away from the live action PDC
chairman Barry Hearn has rolled
out his vision for the future,
with the expansion of the PDC
to include a challenge tour and a
youth tour and with an additional
prize money boost, meaning that
there will now be over £7 Million
up for grabs next season. Jamie
Shaw has been looking into the
developments and gives us his
take on the events inside this
month’s magazine.
We have also seen Championship
League Darts producing three
nine-darters and I take a look at
the prospect of playing more darts
behind closed doors.

a breakthrough month, after
winning his first European Tour
Event last month, he reached a
first PDC major final at the World
Grand Prix, and although he was
ultimately demolished by Taylor
