Butler And Carman Share NACT Victories Andre Carman and Larry Butler shared the spoils on the first double-header weekend of the North American Championship Tour season with victories in Chicago. Carman followed up last year’s ProTour victory in London, Ontario by coming through the field in Saturday’s opening event, the third NACT tournament of 2013. After seeing off top American Darin Young in the semifinals and also defeating Tim O’Gorman, Jason Brandon and Tim Nicoll, Carman then swept past Dan Olson in the final. He took the game’s opening three legs before Carman got off the mark in the fourth, but Carman retained his cushion with back-to-back 15-dart finishes taking out 100 to claim the $2,200 first prize. Sunday’s Event Four was won by Larry Butler, who celebrated his birthday with a victory over Young in the final. Butler whitewashed David Kerr and Chris White in his run to the final, also defeating Nick Linberg and Ryan Barnette, before making a superb comeback from 4-1 down to defeat Young. Young’s run to Sunday’s final included wins over Ray Carver, Bill Davis and Dan Olson, and the $2,200 prize money he collected across the two events saw him maintain his lead at the top of the NACT Order of Merit ahead of Butler.
