The England National Singles was also played over the same weekend, with Trina Gulliver securing a 5-3 victory over Deta Hedman in a close final to secure the ladies title, whilst Garry Thompson of Yorkshire and England secured the men’s event with a 5-2 defeat of Dorset’s Scott Mitchell. The youth event was won by Josh McCarthy who inflicted a second final defeat of the weekend on Hampshire’s Nathan Street by claiming a 3-0 victory to secure the title
