Alex Roy

A familiar face among longstanding darts enthusiasts , Roy is one of the most flamboyant and passionate characters in the game , and has enjoyed a welcomed return to form in 2013 so far .
The 38-year-old , a man with four World Championship Last 16 appearances to his name , has commanded the respect of many of his fellow professionals over the years - none more so than Kevin Painter - whose admirable sponsorship of his former rival has thrown him a much needed lifeline .
A builder by trade , Roy has battled back from the brink of darting extinction , and currently occupies a healthy position on the ProTour order of merit : 35 , as well as a place in the world ’ s top 80 following a series of impressive results .
The Randy Orton look-alike has emphasised his trademark tenacity with a run to the Semi-Finals of Players Championship 4 and his love for the game is reflected in his regular entries into gruelling open competitions .
The ‘ Ace of Herts ’ will be hoping to pull out one or two trump cards in a bid to make a big screen return this summer .

Paul Amos

Amos made history when he became the first graduate of the Team Taylor initiative at the back end of 2012 and proved his calibre by grabbing the sponsorship prize with both hands and winning through PDC Qualifying School .
Nicknamed ‘ Moo Moo ’ and renowned for his unmissable shirt , Amos made the transformation from pub player to professional after prevailing 4-0 in the Team Taylor final on stage at Alexandra Palace .
Bolstered by the sponsorship backing , Amos battled through Q School and hasn ’ t looked back , appearing in his first European Tour event in Dusseldorf last month and compiling more than £ 3,500 in prize money to date .
The highly rated Londoner will make his second appearance in the ‘ FA Cup of Darts ’ in Bolton and ‘ Moo Moo ’ will be aiming to milk it on the big stage in a bid to better his run to the Last 64 on debut .
