Benito van de Pas and William O’Connor were involved in a thriller,
with the former eventually emerging with a 6-5 victory, whilst John
Part overcame Marko Kantele by the same scoreline.
Vincent van der Voort averaged an impressive 99.76 as he overcame
fellow Dutchman Christian Kist, whilst Ronnie Baxter, Terry Jenkins and
John Henderson were amongst the other names to join the top sixteen
from the Pro Tour Order of Merit in the second round.

Dean Winstanley arrived at the venue on the second day of action to
discover that his second round opponent Michael van Gerwen had been
sidelined by an ankle injury, meaning that Winstanley received a bye
into the last sixteen.
Those matches that were played proved to be highly entertaining,
particularly for the Austrian crowd who watched home favourite Mensur
Suljovic defeat Ian White 6-3 to book his place in the third round.
Meanwhile Stephen Bunting produced perhaps his best display since
joining the PDC as he averaged nearly 108 in a 6-1 defeat of Dave
