Premier League: Week 15 The Brighton Centre was the host venue for the final round of league matches in the 2014 Betway Premier League of Darts and it would prove to be a pivotal venue in deciding the final four as three players headed into the night of Thursday 15th May with a chance of joining Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld in the play-offs. Gary Anderson knew a victory over Raymond van Barneveld would be enough to see him safely through, whilst Phil Taylor was facing the same equation as he took on Robert Thornton. For Peter Wright the equation was much more complex. Should either Phil Taylor or Gary Anderson come away with a draw then the Scotsman would need a win over Michael van Gerwen to book his place at the O2 for the following week, whilst if Anderson or Taylor lost then a draw would be enough for Wright. Before all of this however there was the small matter of Adrian Lewis versus Dave Chisnall to resolve and it would prove to be a thrilling, high quality encounter in which both men played a high standard of darts with the pressure now off them. Adrian Lewis 7-4 Dave Chisnall In a clear sign that the pressure was well and truly off Adrian Lewis landed back-to-back maximums to open the match, and whilst he was unable to finish the nine-darter he did take the opening leg.
