£ 1.5 Billion worth of SME contracts were awarded to design , deliver and co-ordinate the global spectacular , with the UK dominating overseas contract work . Data by the Government of Dubai Media Office revealed out of the 94 countries outside of the UAE who supplied to the World Expo , 24 per cent was awarded to UK SMEs . Except for the Expo ’ s home the UAE , this is more than any other nation , and a figure the UK Experience Economy should champion .
Expo 2020 Dubai radiated with ground-breaking creativity , innovation , and technology , with a diverse range of UK companies joining forces to lend their bespoke expertise to deliver a world-class visitor experience .
The UK has a rich history of exporting , allowing them to understand how business practice differs from region to region , and has built relationships which have enabled them to understand and evoke empathy to various cultures .
Expo 2020 Dubai undoubtedly built on this , with many UK companies dedicating many years at the 1000- acre expo site to ensure the six month extravaganza pushed boundaries with storytelling and innovation , whilst delivering an inclusive , sustainable and rememberable experience to all who visited .
