Introduction
Coaching is evolving and so must coach education. As coaching and the contexts in which it happens shift, coaches face new challenges and opportunities. To support and drive this shift it is vital that those delivering and assessing coach education have the right skills, knowledge and support.
Now is the time to reflect on where we’ ve come from, understand the changes reshaping coaching and prepare for what lies ahead. From fresh thinking in learning design and innovative assessment approaches to a greater focus on inclusivity and learner-centred experiences, coach education is undergoing meaningful transformation.
At UK Coaching, we’ re developing new content, resources and tools designed specifically to meet the needs of Coach Educators( Tutors and Assessors), ensuring they are supported in delivering relevant, impactful learning in real-world coaching contexts.
In the following pages, you’ ll find an overview of the products and services available to help equip Coach Educators for the future of coach education and development.
We recognise there is an emerging lack of clarity over the roles within the wider Coach Development Workforce. The following information is to give clarity around our interpretation of the two main roles.
For the remainder of this document, we will use the term‘ Coach Educators’ to include all those that work within coach education, for example tutors, assessors, verifiers, and quality assurers.
