I asked Dominic what would be his ‘bang-foryour-buck’ cigar that they currently stock. His
choices; La Invicta Robusto or something from the
Nub Sungrown range which he loves. (I too was
impressed with the La Invicta and will be checking
out his favourite Nub next time I’m in) I also asked
him what was special in their humidor, his reply?
The Cohiba Behike 52, they’ve got a box of those!
They also organise cigar tasting evenings in
Bedford, their last event was held at the end of
August at The Standard, just a two minute walk
down the High Street where they have a very
comfortable roof terrace. The evening started with
a Nicaraguan La Invicta Robusta before the main
attraction which was the new Partagas Maduro

drop them an email and ask to be put on their
mailing list.
Parking in the council run town centre car parks
are free for the first two hours on Saturdays, or if
you don’t mind a nice walk along the river into
town there’s two hour free parking alongside the
Embankment near Russell Park.
Make that trip to Bedford and step back in time
with Harrison and Simmonds who are one of a
dying breed of specialist shops where personal
service is still given and the staff know about what
they are selling.
