Eddie has been exposed to the world of cigars from a young age and way before he could work in the store he started helping at the store particularly at Christmas time packing and dispatching cigars in his break from school. He properly joined his father in his London store after a career in banking and finance in the City of London and is proving to be a fine ambassador for the UK Cigar Scene. Having learned much about the business they both love from his father and he took on a project to develop a new venture; The Edward Sahakian Cigar store which is tucked away in contemporary Bulgari hotel in Knightsbridge and which illustrates all of the elegance of the Davidoff store in a refined and perfect cigar lounge. In our interview he explains that the lounge is very much an extension of Edward and his way of dealing with both cigars and customers. It is also a spot for Eddie to allow the cigar world to enjoy the cigars which Edward has been so assiduously and carefully aging in his special vault below the St James’s street store for many years. He talks a little about his father’s collection of cigars and the very special way they have been aged.
