UK Cigar Scene on the radio (and TV)
Oliva Melanio Humidor
At the end of November UK Cigar Scene got
a call from the George Lamb Radio Show
who were working up a program on tobacco.
So editor Nic Wing popped over to deepest
Hackney to talk to George and his team
about Cigars. It was a fun ten minutes of
cigar education and the show has now been
uploaded as a Podcast. You can hear it here:
Earlier this year, Oliva Cigar Co. announced
it would be releasing a special humidor to
commemorate their Oliva Serie V Melanio
Figurado being named Cigar Aficionado's 2014
Cigar of the Year. Just 1,000 of the "Serie V
Melanio Gran Reserva Limitada 2015 humidors
have been made and the small UK allocation
should be in stores before Christmas.

We have also just being doing some filming on
a Spring BBC TV Show, as soon as the date is
set for the broadcast you will hear about it here
first.
The humidor will contain 60 Oliva Serie V
Melanio cigars in various sizes;
20 Torpedos, 20 Robustos & 20 Figurados, (The
reigning No1 Cigar of the Year, which scored 96
points).
Oliva Serie V Maduro Double Toro 2015 Limited Edition
Limited quantities of the Oliva Serie V Maduro Double Toro 2015 Limited Edition will be
arriving on the shelves of your cigar store during December.
The Oliva Serie V Maduro Double Toro 2015 measures 6” by 60 ring gauge and has a dark
oily chocolate Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper. The filler and binder are both from
Nicaragua.
Añejados
Word has reached us from Havana that two more of the Añejados program are on the way to
the UK, hopefully early in the New Year. The two cigars are a Partagas Corona Gorda – the same
size as a Cohiba Siglo IV (46 ring gauge by 5 ¼”) and a Hoyo de Monterrey Hermosos No 4 (48
ring gauge by 5”). Pictures we have seen show that the Hoyo de Monterrey have box codes from
March 2007.
