Emphasis on Child Protection and Safety
UISG recognises the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, to which the host country, China, is a signatory. UISG strives to promote responsibility, respect, accountability and academic excellence in a safe learning environment and to ensure all members of the school community feel safe, included and accepted. Child safety is of upmost importance. Network meetings led by Ms Martina Roy and Ms Joan Philp in age-appropriate settings provide opportunities for parents to discuss the UISG policy and procedures that are taken when Physical, Emotional, Psychological and Sexual Abuse and Child Neglect are observed or suspected.
