Pearl River “Homemade”

Kids Film Festival

This is the second year UISG is hosting the Pearl River “Homemade” Kids Film Festival. This year the festival is also an ACAMIS/ACE (Arts & Culture Enrichment) online event highlighting films made by students from international schools in China, Hong Kong and Mongolia.

The categories are vast and yet age-appropriate to meet the interests and needs of a young international audience. Narratives (drama, comedy, horror and mystery), documentaries, silent films, music videos, PSA (public service announcements) and tutorials and foreign language films are all welcome.

PR “Homemade” spotlights films created by kids as well as for and about kids. Students from Year - Year 12 are invited to participate and submit works as individuals and collaborative teams.

All selected films will be available for viewing online during the festival (March 4-6, 2015). The winning films will be presented online with a dedicated bio page for the student artist and offline at an awards event on the last day (March 6, 2015).

The deadline for submission is Friday, February 13th. Students can submit their film via flashdrive. For more information about the festival along with blog posts to inspire and assist students with their films, visit our website at
