Seon Young (Judy) Cho
My name is Judy Cho. I am from Korea and 17 years old. I have been here
at UISG for three years now. For my personal project, my goal is that to
make others interested in traditional costumes and their culture. If they are
concerned to them, they can learn more about their own country's traditional culture what they have not known before. Nowadays, many students and
adults do not know about the traditional costumes and cultures of the world,
even their own home countries. We should have knowledge about it and
we should have it because we are one of the persons from this country. I
have made a wooden doll dressed in traditional clothing which are Korean,
Indian and Scottish. I mixed all of them and completed it. I have made traditional fusion clothing.
Jane Pak
My name is Jane PAK from 10G, and my Personal Project is about Korean
Traditional dress. I chose this topic because in Korea, these days I see less
people are wearing traditional dress occasionally. We did wore traditional
dress at least special days, but now, people like me, have less time to wear
traditional dress. I chose my product making the traditional dress, but which
could be worn daily. My global context is self-expression, expressing what I
think about trend, and traditional parts as I could. This project was mainly
about to know about myself more better and could understand how my
mother, designer thinks. It was a project to know more further, traditional
dress and me. There were quite hard times, such as having many assignments, and not doing time management. I learnt things more than my topic,
time management.
