Pranav Damani
My name is Pranav Damani, I am 15 years old and I come from India. My
hobbies are playing sports, especially football, reading adventure books
and watching TV. I have lived in China for 12 years and in all those years I
have studied at Utahloy. Year 10 has by far been the toughest. The biggest
reason for this is the Personal Project. My Personal Project is “Creating a
Gravity Fed Water Filter to Solve Water Purification Problems in the Surrounding Environment”. I came up with this topic because it is one of the
world’s biggest issues, and I hope that my product can help reduce this
problem in the future. I managed to create the product successfully and it
actually worked! The journey through the Personal Project has been a fun,
interesting and challenging experience. I wish next year’s grade 10s the
best of luck!!
Mrinnaalini Jain
My name is Mrinaalini Jain and I am from India. This is my 13th year in
Utahloy. I have loved each and every day living here. My hobbies include
playing sports, especially football, basketball and volleyball as well as playing the piano. I also really like to read, listen to music and spend time with
my friends.
For my personal project I decided to create a solar-powered bag that you
can use to charge your portable devices while you are out and it is sunny
outside. This product is an alternative to having to charge your devices using a power bank or going into a Starbucks while you are out. As long as I
can remember, I have always been determined to being as environmentally
friendly as possible. This was my motivation for choosing to create this
product since it is a product that harnesses an alternative energy, therefore
benefiting the environment.
