Immigration Expo, staged at the prestigious St. Regis Mumbai
hotel, to hear presentations given professional panelists, to
learn about sponsors in the Exhibitor Hall or to discover global
investment projects.
Among the attendees were migration agencies, immigration
attorneys, service providers, EB-5 regional centers and project
developers from across the world. Panel topics included the
latest news on EB-5 legislation and the marketplace, source
of funds documentation and due-diligence best practices.
Other panels focused on world investment immigration
programs, including pre-immigration tax planning strategies
and real estate investment opportunities in Europe.
The conference came as Indian interest in EB-5 visas grows
while other options, particularly the H-1B visa, dwindle
for Indians. The number of approved EB-5 visas for India-
born nationals has grown more than four-fold over the
last four years, according to U.S. Department State data.
Simultaneously, the amount of India millionaires is also
growing and is expected to rise by 65% by 2020. This growth
is fueling interest in investment immigration.
Uglobal Immigration Magazine is returning to Mumbai for a
second time this year on Oct. 12. The magazine will also be
staging events in Los Angeles in July, and in South Korea and
Vietnam in September.
