Welcome to our prospectus. I am
delighted to be part of this vibrant and
exciting university which provides such a
supportive learning environment to its
students. In my time here I have been
impressed by the genuine sense of
community spirit. I am confident that you
will receive a warm welcome if you
choose to visit us at one of our open
days, or come to study with us.
Queen Margaret University is a very
special place. Our high-quality learning
and teaching is supported and

Our academics participate in research
and our specialist research centres have
gained worldwide recognition. We have a
high proportion of research active staff
and we perform at the highest level in
developing pioneering expertise that cuts
across our specialisms in health &
rehabilitation, creativity & culture, and
sustainable business, as well as our
niche areas of expertise. This research
activity ultimately ensures that students’
learning is fresh and relevant.

Our approach to learning and teaching is
student-centred and we will do our
utmost to equip you with the expertise
you need to build a successful and
fulfilling career. Many of our students
become accomplished leaders in their
chosen field and we have an enviable
97.1%* graduate employment rate.
Our courses are designed to ensure that
our graduates are highly employable with
skills that are sought after in the public,
private and commercial sectors. We
recently introduced a new degree which
will produce the next generation of
primary teachers in Scotland. The BA
(Hons) Education Studies (Primary) is
designed to attract candidates with a
strong social conscience, who are
passionate about developing young
people and equality of opportunity. It will
also particularly suit those who have
aspirations to lead in the teaching
profession.
In 2020 we are also offering new courses
in Accounting and Finance and
Marketing Management.

provide you with all the facilities you need
to succeed. The student-focused design
