Graduation. More information is available
on pages 20-23 and you can make
contact with any of the services in a
confidential and accessible manner
before or during the application process.
Not coming to university straight from
school?
We also recognise that not everyone
leaves school and goes immediately to
university. You may have spent a few
years working or studying at college, or
may be returning to education after
having a family. We can provide
information and guidance on making the
transition to university. The Transition and
Pre-Entry Adviser is available to ensure
you obtain all the information you need
before and during the decision-making
process. Support for mature students is
also provided by our Student Services
team who can also give advice on
disability, finance, student mentors and
counselling. For more information see
pages 30-31 or visit our website at www.
qmu.ac.uk/study-here/student-services/.
Coming to study with us from outside
the UK?
If you live outside the UK, the
International Office is your first point of
contact at QMU. We recognise a wide
range of international qualifications and
the Admissions and International teams
are able to provide individual guidance
tailored to your own circumstances. The
International team will also help you
make moving to and studying in a new
country a stress-free experience. If you
are thinking of coming to QMU as an
international student, please see pages
26-29 and visit the international students
section of our website at www.qmu.
ac.uk/study-here/international-students/
where you will find information on
applying, fees, language support and
the cost of living.
