We ' re proud to be one of the first UK universities to declare a ‘ climate emergency ’, as well as having ambitious targets to be carbon neutral by 2030 . In 2021 we were named Global Sustainability Institution of the Year , and also completed the installation of 12,500 solar panels and two wind turbines on campus , to generate up to half of our electricity requirements .
