Stress can be positive by helping people develop their skills but, most of the time, it is negative by resulting strong emotions, sadness, or depression. As a college student, stress is very evident to us whether we like it or not. Being bombarded with things to do in the academe and the outside world, we face stress in every scope of our lives. Also, it is one of the factors of being an unhealthy student.

1. Get enough sleep. Don’t treat sleeping as a reward. Remember that it is a need.

2. Eat well. Well as in nutritious, not just something that fills up your stomach and you’re good to go.

3. Exercise. Choose the stairs over the elevator. It gives you some time to think but mostly the exercise to keep you going.

4. Breathe. Inhale, exhale and do it the proper way once in a while. It releases tension.

5. Get emotional support. Choose a friend who’s not judgmental. Once again, a good friend is someone who’ll choose the stairs over the elevator just so you can talk different stuff.

6. Do what you love. Passion and as simple as that won’t stress you a lot.

7. Try not to overload yourself. Have some “me-time”. There’s nothing wrong with saying ‘no’ sometimes.
