WHO WE ARE: our mission, vision & history
UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan’s mission is to improve
the lives for people with disabilities through increased
self-sufficiency, mobility and opportunities.
We believe that mobility is a basic human right for all people. We envision an Indonesia where all
individuals are provided this right.
Everyone deserves the freedom to leave their homes, access education and employment, and be part
of their community.
UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan is a partner of United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) Wheels for Humanity based
in Los Angeles, United States.
UCP is the largest network of disability organizations in the US and was established in 1949. UCP Wheels
for Humanity is the international division that has been providing wheelchairs, education and services for
people with disabilities worldwide since 1996.
In 2009, UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan was established in Indonesia with a goal to develop a
sustainable solution to the lack of independence and opportunities for people with disabilities.
Our programs focus on mobility access as a starting point for empowering people with disabilities
in Indonesia.
