Spring 2014 is just around the corner! Here are some of the events and activities coming up next semester to give you an idea of what is next for Pre-Collegiate:

There are many important lessons I continue to learn throughout the course of my college career. Many of these involve strategies for getting through college and I like to consider the following list as my “life lessons.”

1. Learn to work with others (teamwork).

2. Overcome my fear of public speaking

3. Work on self-esteem issues

4. Change my attitude

5. Take on leadership roles

6. Develop good time-management skills

STUDY TIPS

With finals coming up, it is time to study! Some tips and strategies are as follows:

1. Take good notes & listen in class

2. Review your notes after class

3. Read and highlight important concepts

4. Keep up on your homework

5. Eliminate Distractions

6. Be an active learner, not a passive one

7. Create lists, graphs and charts

8. Teach your material to someone else

9. Don't crunch for the exam!

10. Create patterns, habits and a schedule

11. Make study goals

12. Study most difficult concepts first

13. Utilize study groups

14. Eliminate anxiety

15. Eat well and exercise
