The health promoting university initiative has drawn collaborative and pioneering initiatives, spear-headed by staff and students with varied interests and skills. University is a gateway to the potential of all our staff and students and we are all together, the key holders. In a time when financial strain and academic duress are putting students’mental and physical health under increasing pressure, we must all work together to ensure a healthier and happier UCC. Only then can we all walk together on the pathway to sUCCess.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you this year and the very best of luck to my successor Cian Power. The future of UCC’s health is safe in his enthusiastic hands and in the hands of our ever diligent student services.

The best of luck to Dave in his future endeavours. Be sure to check out the next issue of the Health Matters E-zine for a chance to read about Cian Power's hopes for the coming academic year 2014/15.
