UC SAN DIEGO ’ S FIRST OPEN-AIR VENUE , THE
Epstein Family Amphitheater , will open in October with an inaugural lineup of exciting performances .
The new 2,650-seat amphitheater on the UC San Diego Blue Line is a showcase for performing arts , featuring local and international talent in everything from largescale rock concerts to classical quartets and theatrical dance .

The amphitheater features projecting equipment that will provide patrons with an intimate view of performances and will allow for film screenings and speaking events . The new performance space is an inspiring addition to the campus ’ s celebrated theater , dance , visual arts and music programs .
When not hosting a performance , the Epstein Family Amphitheater will serve as a public , open space for recreation , celebration and connection .
OCTOBER 22 Alternative rock band , Death Cab for Cutie , will perform from their latest album , “ Asphalt Meadows ”
OCTOBER 27 Las Cafeteras ’ Hasta La Muerta , a new production rooted in the celebration of Life and Death
OCTOBER 29 Blacktronika : Where I Stand Festival , brings together six innovative musical groups for a day of sonic cultural expression .
