Thus, chapter members clad in sepia tones came to their recent GMM at the SM City Cebu Conference Hall D. For the past years, the chapter had sparks of “Heritage” mode with their monthly publication of their Heritage Nook on Cebu ’s most widelyread local daily, SunStar and past chapter tours to heritage sites in the province. A plan is also brewing for another heritage-related chapter activity this coming fiscal year. Well, that’s another story. Just like the numerous heritage treasures around us, the GMM was one to remember. First, it was held in conjunction with the longest-running construction event in the Southern Philippines , the 15 th Construction Show Cebu at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall. Also, the new UAP National President, Arch’t. Medeliano Roldan, Jr. dropped by the conference room to listen to the professionallyilluminative presentation by academician, researcher and heritage advocate, Past Chapter President Carmencita Solis. Arch’t. Roldan, by the way, was in Cebu as keynote speaker during the opening program of the Construction Show, organized by L.A. Ducut and Company, Inc. It was also on that night when Arch’t. Boy Roldan announced, as part of his keynote speech, that the 16 th UAP National Conference of Architects (NCA) will be held in Cebu later this October. By Karl A.E.F.
