GAME KNB?
The UAP Makati CBD Chapter
Opening of Elections
Story by: Ar. / EnP. Reynaldo M. Cristobal Jr., UAP, PIEP, RMP
Leaders play a very important role in any community
or organization. They determine the group's goal and
course of action. They set the phase of every endeavor.
They inspire the people around them and encourage
progress. These and a lot more are the vital functions
of someone who leads. But no one can lead without
those who follow, as success only come to those who
work hand in hand towards a common goal. This is the
guiding principle behind the leadership selection process
of UAP Makati CBD Chapter. In this regard, the chapter
allows volunteers who meet the minimum requirements
to present themselves and let the general membership
choose who will lead them.
Just like in Philippine national and local elections, we
at CBD encourage our members to file for a Letter of
Commitment, equivalent to Certificate of Candidacy.
These will serve as the chapter's assurance that the
candidate will actually perform once elected to a certain
position. In this regard, the Chapter ComElec, represented
by Past Chapter Presidents Ar. Albert Uy and Ar. Rodolfo
Bongato Jr. led the Election Opening last January 25, 2019
at the Max's Restaurant, Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Makati
during the UAP Makati CBD's 7th General Membership
Meeting dubbed as "Game KNB?", a play in the tagalog
phrase asking people if they are all ready, which actually
pertains to the challenge of servanthood. The GMM was
attended by a total of 27 architects.
Filing for candidacy through the Letter of Commitment
was formally opened following the brief announcement of
the chapter's rules and regulations concerning election.
Ar. Albert Uy reiterated and emphasized the minimum
requirements for candidacy and the process which
