Jennifer De Los Santos, MD and Ruby F. Meredith, MD, Ph.D. were
named to the Best Doctors in America list for 2017-2018.  Best Doctors

with the best doctors.  The only way for a physician to be selected is
to be peer-nominated and voted in by current Best Doctors winners. 
Dr. De Los Santos is moving onto a new opportunity.  We thank her

NEW PATIENT VIDEO
The UAB Radiation Oncology Welcome Video for new
patients is now available on the UAB Medicine website
and YouTube channel.  The making of this video was a
team effort and we thank all who contributed.  This video
provides an introduction to the Hazelrig-Salter Radiation
Oncology Center, and a clear understanding of what to
expect throughout the treatment process.

UAB DIVERSITY FAIR
On Jan. 26, UAB Hospital North Pavilion’s 2nd floor atrium filled
steadily—The School of Medicine Office for Diversity and
Inclusion celebrated its 2nd annual Diversity Fair with food,
drinks and entertainment.  Departments competed for the best
table with brightly colored and eye-catching displays.
From Left:  Susan Nozell, Rajani Rajbhandari, and Sindhu Nair
represented Radiation Oncology.  Their theme, Kingdom of
Nepal, received the Honorable Mention Award.
