I’m a part of the movement DG (DIVERSE AND GIFTED). Our rap group Tha Prodigy has a mix tape that is about to drop In 2014 called “We Do It 4 Tha Fanz pt 1” hosted by DJ Troop. I am right now analyzing myself as an artist; where I can be better than I am now by studying delivery lyricism and different entry patterns but most Importantly making sure my team becomes the number one movement In Hip Hop and RNB and many other artistic points of the world.
Truthfully speaking whatever Is god’s plan is my future; but how I see my future is as being successful and meaningful. I see no more pain, no more sorrow. I see me reaching my goals and see myself with my team making a better situation for us and our family and love ones. I see myself making a difference In someone’s life as well as my team doing the same I see our names becoming legends because legends never die. “Quoted by Justin Jamal Frederick aka Jay aka K.O.C.”
Young ToppA
Young Toppa, born Toshinar Donte Moody, was born in Virginia Beach, VA on Dec 27, 1989 to mother, Gwendolyn Moody, and father, Walter Echols. Toppa and his mother moved to Memphis, TN when he was 2 years old to be closer to family. This is where he would spend most of his life. Toppa grew up in his grandmother’s house who lived in a neighborhood in South Memphis where he quickly learned the importance of hard work, family, sports, and music. At age 8, Toppa began writing rhymes, along with his older cousins in their grandmother's back room. Because his mother was a singer in church and no stranger to soul music, he also developed a like for singing although he wasn't as confident as with his rapping. By age 14 Toppa was in the studio owned by his uncle and was affiliated with a local rap group called Infantry, which also consisted of his cousins and they were all under his uncle's underground label, 901 Entertainment. Toppa was featured on 'Smoke & Ride', a melodic slow-tempo track from their debut album "Harder than Ever".
Although he was just in junior high school, Toppa received much positive feedback and support from his peers. He traveled with Infantry as far as Arkansas to Mississippi performing at local clubs. Being that the others members had already graduated from high school and he was just beginning his freshman year, it became difficult for Toppa to manage schooling and music, and in the end he had to leave the group. Toppa still made music in his spare time along with a couple of his long time friends, but his mother made it understood that he would have to put his education first. Toppa graduated in 2008 from Central High School, Memphis, TN and attended a local junior college while working at a mall where he reunited with his junior high sweetheart, Georgetta.
They are currently together and have a daughter named Ariana Marie. In 2012 Toppa and his family moved to Hinesville, GA where they soon became close friends with Justin 'Jay' Fredrick and KeeKee Griffin. After learning that Toppa was no stranger to hip-hop Jay convinced Toppa to start getting back into music. Through Jay, Toppa was introduced to Rashad 'King' Phillips, Shaun Vaughn, and Angelica 'Queen' Christine, and Toppa would become the 5th member of what is known now as CBE (Country Boi Entertainment). ToppA's style is influenced by artist like Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, and former group Hot Boyz of cash money.
