HOUSE BARATHEON
Stannis Baratheon
Lord Stannis Baratheon is the younger brother of King Robert and the oldest brother of Lord Renly. He is portrayed as a humorless person that has a harsh sense of justice. Stannis fought alongside his brother when Robert rebelled against House Targaryen and took the fortress Dragonstone, because of this Robert named Stannis the Lord of Dragonstone.
Robert Baratheon
Robert Baratheon was the king of the Seven Kingdoms and has reigned for fifteen years. He is described as a fat, bearded man who is fond of hunting, whoring, and drinking. However, despite these traits, he was a formidable warrior in his youth. Robert was raised with love along his two brothers Renly and Stannis, but he was mostly closer to Eddard, who he considered to be a true brother even if not by blood. Robert was betrothed to Ned's sister Lyanna, but she had died during the War of the Usurper. After winning the crown, he had married Cersei Lannister to ensure House Lannister's loyalty to his rule.
Renly Baratheon
Lord Renly Baratheon is the younger brother of Robert Baratheon and Stannis Baratheon. After Robert dies of a failed boar hunt, Renly declares himself King of the Seven Kingdoms in A Clash of Kings and wins the support of the Baratheon bannermen and the support of other houses, despite Stannis's better claim. He also seals an alliance with House Tyrell by marrying Margaery Tyrell.
