Ever talk to someone who had “Dragon Breath”?

70% of teens say bad breath is an instant turnoff. Most dentists conclude regular brushing such as 3 times a day and flossing is considered “good” dental hygiene. Poor oral hygiene can also cause bad breath -- whether it’s socializing with people or kissing your significant other, no teen wants to be known for bad breath.

Tips for Avoiding Bad Breath:

Brushing Teeth: Brush your teeth at least twice a day; in the morning after you get up and at night before going to bed. If you have the opportunity to brush your teeth anytime after you eat, DO IT!

Toothbrushes should be replaced every

few months, and after you are ill

Brushing Tongue: Brushing your tongue is very important when it comes to avoiding bad breath because it removes plaque (which can cause bad breath).

Brush your tongue from back to front; there's alot of bacteria living on the back of your tongue!

Mouthwash: Use mouthwash at least twice a day

(usually in the morning and at night).

Mints and Gum: Chew gum or have a mint during the day, (especially after meals if you are unable to brush your teeth to avoid bad breath). Make sure both the mints or the chewing gum are mint flavored.

Make sure both the mints and the chewing gum is mint flavored. Sweetened gum and mints can increase risk for bad breath.
