-- -- If you are a craft beer drinker , Big Timber Brewing is just one block from the hotel . They just opened a beautiful new tap room with a rustic atmosphere and wonderful indoor / outdoor fireplace area and green space . In addition , they host live music weekly and you can schedule a tour of the brewery !

What new experiences can guests look forward to when they
come back and visit during a different time of year ?
-- -- Every fall , during the first week of October , the Mountain State Forest Festival graces Elkins with its grandeur . This festival is one of the oldest , largest festivals in the state , and it ’ s definitely worth coming back and experiencing !
What ’ s your Favorite thing to do in the Elkins area during the winter ?
-- -- Elkins is an ideal winter destination due to its proximity to 6 distinctive ski areas within 50 miles . From sledding and tubing to skiing and snowboarding , I ’ d suggest checking out Snowshoe Mountain , Silver Creek Ski Area , Timberline Mountain , Canaan Valley Resort , Blackwater Falls Sled Run , or White Grass Cross Country Ski Resort ! It ’ s hard for me to choose just one !

Looking forward to Spring , what are some interesting local
events or activities that guests should come back for ?
-- -- I would definitely suggest experiencing the Ramps and Rail Festival that takes place on the last weekend of April in Elkins . If you aren ’ t from West Virginia , you may have not heard of ramps which is a wild , edible plant ! During this festival , you can ride the train , try different ramp-themed foods , listen to live music , and browse through the variety of craft vendors !
