tyddynmon.co.uk A note from the Chair of the Board and CEO With Christmas here and 2015 drawing to a close, we would like to thank everyone for their support over the past year. We would like to thank our dedicated staff team in our supported houses and on our farm for the high level of support and service they have provided to our service users across Anglesey. We would also like to thank our volunteers who supported the charity, dedicating their time, energy and passion to help us on our farm near Amlwch in Brynrefail. We are also grateful to the people who helped us raise money throughout the year and helped to organise our Summer Fair and Folk on the Farm festival and to the many people who attended the events. Great fun was had by all and the fundraising has helped to improve the services we provide to adults with Learning Difficulties across Anglesey. Thank you to everyone who helped us spread a little Christmas cheer and raise vital funds this year by popping into our shop in the Deiniol centre in Bangor. Our home made fudge has gained quite a following in Bangor and it has been fantastic to see shoppers of all ages in Bangor throwing a Pot on the Potters wheel and dropping in for a chat with the team. Our service users have enjoyed the experience and learnt new skills along the way. We have also received further orders for our pottery merchandise which is fantastic news and will help our fundraising efforts and we have had interest from potential volunteers. The shop has also been a huge success in raising awareness of our charity and as a result new links are now being formed with other organisations. We are very grateful to Gareth Wyn Jones from the BBC’s ‘The Hill Farm’ for his help in opening the shop and to Kate Jones from the Deiniol centre for providing the shop. The Town Centre Partnership in Bangor have also kindly agreed to cover the cost of the electricity in the shop until Christmas. Thank you to everyone for making it possible and the team at Tyddyn Mon who worked hard in the lead up to the opening. We would also like to congratulate our Christmas card competition winners for designing such wonderful cards. The winners are announced on page 10 of this newsletter. If you would like to help us continue our vital work there are many exciting ways that you can get involved by taking part in fundraising events, doing some volunteering or you could make a donation. Thank you for your support and we wish you a very Merry Christmas.
