How long have you been volunteering at Tyddyn
Môn?
Since September 2015
What does you usual day on the farm consist of?
It starts with greeting the trainees and staff, and then
feeding and cleaning the animals, mostly the bedding over winter and letting them in and out of the sheds. I also do Gardening and some woodwork art with the trainees. Having so much fun.
What do enjoy most about volunteering at Tyddyn Môn?
Absolutely love everything about it, making new friends and being part of
their daily lives and learning.
What skills have you learnt or developed while volunteering at
Tyddyn Môn?
Listening
Being part of a team
Getting to know every single trainee, and how to get involved in their
own individual tasks
What has surprised you most about volunteering at Tyddyn Môn?
It’s so rewarding to see how much fun the trainees have and how quickly
they have welcomed me , and made me feel so much at home.
When you’re not working on the farm what do you enjoy doing?
Being with my family and being with my nephew and nieces little children,
travelling and playing golf.
