In July 2015, we held Folk on the Farm at Tyddyn Môn, the
third year the festival was held on the farm. The festival
was a great success and we made several thousands of
pounds for the charity. We had approx 400 people
attending including artists and stewards. The board of
trustees were very pleased and have asked me to carry on
for 2016, the 14th—17th July 2016 to be precise.
I would like to thank Mr Stephen McEnhill and the board for
their confidence and support in me and also the farm staff
and trainees for getting the farm ready for the arrival of the
festival and the folkies!!!
We held a folk night on the Thursday and we had a
wonderful performance from Ruth and Sian, Ricky, Barry,
Jim and Rich, who gave us about 4 songs and brought the
house down, there were several lumps in our throats
especially the twins parents!!! It is what Folk on the Farm is
all about and always will be. I also want to thank the guys
and girls who attended from the houses and Anna and
Susan for supporting them. A special mention has to go to
Nathan McGee, who is very firmly, FOTF mascot!! He is a
very important part of the
whole show and affectionately
mentioned by so many folkies
at other festival I go to. There
is one other happy chap who
keeps me going all year,
Robert Carter!! His
enthusiasm is inspiring.
Every time I visit the farm
he shouts, “Jon Hippy, my
mate, the stage is on it’s
way for Folk on the
Farm!!!” Well how can I
not carry on!!!!
