Judging criteria ! 1. Student must demonstrate personal development including social awareness and increased social competence. 2. Student must have demonstrably increased their skills base - The acquired skill/s can be in any aspect of student’s life - e.g. technical, digital, academic, social or life skills. 3. Student must have participated in work experience successfully - proving themselves capable of planning to work and participating in the work place. ! ! ! ! Who can enter Only current TY students are eligible for nomination  Nomination, Assessment and Award process Students may be nominated by TY service providers, Parents, TY Coordinators & Teachers, Guidance Counsellors, Mentors and Employers. ! • • • ! Nominations open from 7th April 2017 Closing date for nominations is 12th May 2017 The Nomination Form can be downloaded here and forwarded to TY Ireland Students who have been nominated will be notified via their schools and will be requested to complete a short questionnaire and  • write a short essay or  • make a short video or  • compile a story board  explaining what they have achieved in the year. ! Each nominee must submit at least 3 supporting references, one for each of the three judging criteria. ! Closing date for submissions is 23 June 2017 The judging panel will assess each submission and deliberate their verdict Regional winners will be announced 15th August 2017 and will be contacted for a short interview ! The Overall Winner will be announced at TY EXPO 2017 in September 2017. The Regional and Overall winners will receive their awards at this event.
