GETTING REA DY
I love this time when it is just the girls getting
ready, reminiscing about the bride and groom,
and simply relaxing before the major festivities
kick off. I will also allow time to photograph the
groom getting ready if you wish.
THE CE RE MONY
Well, I know this is obvious, but you want to make
sure that you have coverage time that includes
getting all your beautiful ceremony details
photographed beforehand, guest entering the
ceremony, the ceremony itself, guests exiting the
ceremony, and the receiving line or grand exit if
you have one. This of course is completely
dependent on the length of the ceremony, but
usually requires 1-2 hours.
FAMILY FORMALS
I know this is the part of the day that is often
times the most frustrating. It can be so difficult to
get both families together and all in one place
after the ceremony, but I truly believe these
photos are so important. It is probably one of the
few times that both your families will be all
together and capturing these photos and having
them forever really is priceless. However, these
can take a long time! I usually allot 5 minutes per
photo grouping.
WEDDING PARTY + COUPLE SHOTS
This is the time when you get to let loose and just
enjoy time with your wedding party and your new
spouse! I usually like at least 1 hour to complete
these photos, with 20 minutes dedicated to the
wedding party and 40 minutes dedicated to just
the bride and groom.
THE RECEPTION
The reception is the longest portion of the
coverage and will include photographing the
details of the reception before your guests enter,
all the way through to 20-30 minutes into the
dance floor being open for all your guests to party
down! Usually 3 to 4+ hours is needed to cover
everything that happens at the reception,
including: grand entrance, speeches, first dances,
parent dances, cake cutting, and open dancing.
THE MINI PHOTO BOOTH
If you have chosen a mini photo booth at your
reception, there will be a period of approximately
two hours allotted for guests to have fun making
fools of themselves for my camera! I bring a white
background, and all props which your guests can
feel free to use for some goofy, candid photos.
