Do you think I am an exception? Quite possible, but if so, all my friends and acquaintances are exceptions too. I know two women whose kids have serious congenital health problems. Those women never smoked. On the other hand, all female smokers I know – including me – have perfectly healthy kids.
They say that smoking harms male health. I have a smoker friend who in his 68th year of life, is constantly complaining of the frigidity of young women. He doesn’ t lie. There are few women that can withstand his sexual urges. The other friend of mine never smoked and started using his manhood for one function, and one function only, when he was a little over 40. Did you ever see a smoker with those horrible things they put on the packs of cigarettes? I didn’ t. I wonder, why don’ t they put pictures of broken hands, legs and spines on alpine skis for example? Such people, I have seen in real life many times.
Some people I tell my story to say I don’ t have any problems with my health because I do not actually smoke that much. That’ s true. One pack of cigarettes suffices me for 2-3 days. But everything depends on the dose. Try to drink 5 litres of carrot juice during a day( better, don’ t) and see what will happen to you. A far more terrible thing than if you smoke 2 packs of cigarettes in a day. I smoke only when I really want it and in a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere, when I can really enjoy smoking in full measure.
I don’ t deny that cigarettes have certain harmful substances. But anything in this world has. Why don’ t they take the money spent on the frightening pictures and inscriptions on the packs of cigarettes and send them to the researchers so they can see how to minimize the effects of those elements?
And one more thing. Look at the creative people in different spheres of human activity – those people who make progress happen. Most of them smoke and most of those, who say they don’ t, just don’ t do it in public. The question is: why do the governments of so many countries put so many efforts towards the struggle against smoking?
Why?
