SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTER (ALICANTE)
This project invited to think about the need to transmit, by
the architecture, sensations of protection and recollection in
an introspective approach, bringing light and nature into the
interior of the building.
With a very crowded program, the intention from the
beginning was to make those decisions that will lead us to
reduce the building density of the plot when considering the
Center as a living organism, where the possibility of growth
is very important and that's why we had to arrange of large
empty areas that as long as there are no expansions will
serve as spaces for expansion and games. The building is
considered as a one floor huge box, which only increases to
two in the area of administration coinciding with the access,
and which is perforated, systematically, both in floor and
sections and elevations, looking for light and ventilation.
