MEET THE EDITORS

This month’s issue of Twenty magazine is all about risk taking and addiction. To extend our connection with this topic and therefore enable us to write better we decided to take a survey. As a result of this survey we found out how willing we are to take risks in our lives, whether we are people who love to step out of our comfort zone or not. At the end of the survey we were given a number from 1 – 100, 1 being not risk taking and 100 being that we take risk all the time.

Hi, I am Lucy and I am one of the dedicated editors of this magazine and I hope you enjoy reading and learning from our experiences. After having taken the risk taking survey, my result was 51. This means that my score was in the mid range of risk which is a good thing I guess in that I need a normal level if excitement and thrill and a normal level of stimulation and motivation. Not too much and not too little just right. I can handle many new and old situations that I get thrown into but saying that neither of them when they reach the extreme level I feel a little out of my comfort zone. My moderate need for stimulation makes me a very verite employee, laid back and I just do what I am told to do, I go with the flow.

Hi, I am Fynn the other editor of Twenty, a magazine that dedicates it’s work to exploring different aspects of human’s health. For the survey on risk taking my outcome score was 62. This number was said to be sensation seeking, and describes a person who is always looking for a highly stimulating experience. It means that I am willing to take risks and that I have positive reactions to intense stimuli. This personality trait means that I am more likely to become bored and is someone who is more likely to travel to exotic locations. It means I am willing to take more dangerous risk in the need of an adrenaline rush. But throughout it all it basically means I am a person who is willing to experience new things and take risks in my life.

I don't know if you have ever stood back from your life and taken a minute to see how many risks you take. Do you ever think about how often you take a leap out of your comfort zone and done something new? If you are interested in knowing more and are wanting to do this survey it’s easy. Just go to http://testyourself.psychtests.com/testid/2122 and follow the steps. It will only take around 30 minutes and as long as you answer the question truthfully it will give you a nuber and short description on how much of a risk taker you are.
