UKTV Play for Virgin Media Ireland

irgin Media Ireland is adding UKTV
Play to its catalogue of catch up
services. UKTV channels Dave, W,
Gold and Alibi will now be available through
Virgin Media Ireland’s On Demand platform,
making over 1,000 additional hours of catch up
TV available to its customers.  
Customers will be able to tune in to their
favourite Dave, W, Gold and Alibi shows, such as
UKTV Originals Taskmaster and John Bishop:
In Conversation With…, whenever they want.

Hulu picks AWS as

Hulu has selected Amazon
Web Services (AWS) as
its cloud provider, and
leveraged AWS to launch its
new OTT live TV service.
Hulu turned to AWS for a
scalable, agile, and cost-
effective infrastructure to
support the addition of
more than 50 live channels
for the Hulu with Live TV
launch in May 2017.
According to AWS, running
its live TV service on AWS’s
infrastructure allows Hulu
to deliver a great viewer
experience, even in times of
rapid spikes in viewership and
traffic, allowing Hulu to focus
on innovating OTT delivery
