Okidoki for Samsung Smart TVs

International children’ s bouquet Okidoki is now available on Samsung Smart TVs Tizen. The bouquet, developed and distributed by multimedia entertainment content distribution and monetisation specialist Alchimie and animated by Millimages, is now available on the new Samsung Smart TV User Interface. It will immediately appear to any new client who turns on his television. After the promotion period ends, OKIDOKI will remain available in the application section and it will be regularly updated with new content.

The partnership with Samsung is a new step towards the distribution of Okidoki in the main OTT platforms. With this launch, Alchimie will be present in the French market with the ultimate kids offer Okidoki, next to the leading French entertainment and video distributors.
With over 3,000 original kids content( animated and live series, documentaries, doit-yourself, movies), representing over 500 hours of programmes, Okidoki‘ Grow Smart’ is a mix of entertainment and edutainment brought by Millimages; specialist in the production, acquisition and distribution field for young audiences. This creative concept is reinforced by a data-driven approach which enables the programmes to fulfil as much as possible the children’ s interests and passions, while being also close to parent concerns with a safe offer and a UX designed for kids.
According to Raphael Porte, chief business development officer of Alchimie, Smart TV is one of the fastest growing segments of connected devices and could become the main gateway to access OTT content all over the world in the coming years.“ Alchimie will continue to distribute any kind of content directly on those devices as well as through digital platforms and telecom operators’ networks. With a forecast of over 200 million units shipped in 2017, growing to 260 million in 2019, there will be around 1 billion Smart TVs sold all over the world during the next years,” he noted.
The Okidoki offer also exists in 23 different languages and in due course will be available for global distribution.
TV App Agency powers Z5 Weyyak VoD
TV App Agency( TVAA), a
software developer for TV applications on multiple platforms has designed the front-end applications that are delivering the powerful user experience for the Zee Entertainment Middle East Z5 Weyyak AVoD service.
Z5 Weyyak is the first digital foray into the Arabic territory for Zee Entertainment, which has swiftly established a digital presence delivering targeted
localised VoD content for the International Arabic community, wherever they are based, using the AVoD business model.
“ We knew we needed to partner with a company who had the vision and technical capabilities to build a front-end application that would deliver a first class intuitive user experience and create the all-important first impression of our service,” explained Nadine Samra, VP digital business ME and Africa, Zee Entertainment.“ TVAA understand the challenges of creating a
consistent high-quality user journey and experience across all platforms and we worked closely with their technical teams, who have been up to the challenge. We set aggressive targets for ourselves in terms of user acquisition and video views and we are delighted that not only did the launch go very smoothly, but the first impression of our service coupled by the instinctive user journeys have no doubt contributed to the successful take up of the Z5 Weyyak Service.”
“ This was our first
collaboration with Zee Entertainment,” added Bruno Pereira, co-founder of TV App Agency.“ We have enjoyed the challenge of creating the Z5 Weyyak App, for which we deployed TVA Template and Aggregator to swiftly deliver the multi-platform solution which initially launched across the web / IOS / android with other platforms, and most recently Apple TV, it will be launched onto other platforms including Smart TV( Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony, Philips), Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Xbox and PlayStation later in the year.
