Misses of 2013
This movie was dull, slow moving and much too sentimental for a sci-fi. It focused too much on a father-son relationship, and not enough on the action and potential that a futuristic movie like this one has!
An action movie that lacked decent special effects and had far too many cheesy one-liners. It was missing the realistic action and terror behind the plot of a terrorist attacking the White House.
It was yet another predictable and melodramatic romance. It was filled with clichés, an expected ending, and not enough of a storyline.
A remake of a film is always enjoyable, but not when the remake is an exact copy of the original movie; making literally no changes. Many would agree that the 2013 Carrie was cheesy, pathetic, and that a third version of this movie was too much, and frankly unnecessary.
Runner Runner was nothing but a disappointment, with two of Hollywood’s favorites: Timberlake and Affleck, that sunk under their efforts. The theme of Internet gambling has the potential of being an interesting one, but this film fell flat and was merely mediocre.
The counselor, written by Cormac McCarthy was messy and too many things going on at once. Many would agree that McCarthy should stick to writing books because this movie has superb actors such as Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, and Javier Bardem; but it makes very little sense.
To help ease your stress from schoolwork, take a break and lift that weight off your shoulders by going to the movies! For all of you movie enthusiasts or for all of you who are simply looking for something to do on a rainy night, well fear no more! Here are the movie hits and misses of 2013:
