Dear Agony Aunt,
One of my best friends has had a big crush on one of the new guys in our grade for a couple of months now. I happen to have a lot of classes with him, and as we also have several mutual friends, I’ve spent a good deal of time with this boy. That said, he was completely off-limits and I never thought of him as more than a friend…until last week, when he confessed that he has liked me for the past couple of months! I told him I we could talk tomorrow—total cowardice, I know, but I could’t help freaking out. His confession made me realize that I may have felt more for him from the start, but I deceived myself for my friend’s sake. She liked him first regardless, and I do NOT want to jeopardize our friendship…How do I handle this??
