Coney Island, New York. His family sometimes lived without hot water and heat. These times were difficult, but his family made it through and moved to Flatbush, where his mom currently resides. Due to the hard work of his mother, DMP and his siblings were able to overcome many obstacles and this is why he has dedicated his career to her. Music has always been in his blood. When he was 10 yrs old, DMP wrote a rap about the videogame, “Street Fighter.” He used to recite it along with one of his sisters to pass the time. DMP knew even back then that he had potential, but like most 10 year olds, he was not sure what he wanted to do with his life. Soon after this time, he began writing more and started to entertain the thought of one day becoming a rap artist. Little did he know that actually becoming a rapper was not too far in his future. He had no idea how talented he was at this time, and how creative he would soon become. As MP got older, the music business became more and more intriguing to him. He began a life long learning experience that has helped to mold him into the man he is today. DMP started collaborating with groups such as seven time Apollo winners Deep, to record the smash hit “Sonic Boom”. After his experiences in NY, MP decided to take his talent on the road to southern Florida. Once he arrived, he linked up with popular DJ’s. DMP performed in clubs such as Club Elite, Sin, Flow, Rumbas and Coco Bongos, Sobe, and other clubs in Fort Lauderdale. MP also had the privilege to perform at a number of concerts with artists like Rick Ross, Dirty Red, the Young Bloodz, Da Muzicians, Ying Yang Twins, T-Pain, Lil Webbie ,Cuban Link ,Profyle and many more. He also performed at Funk Master Flex’s Car Show in Atlanta Hosted by r&b Singer LLoyd, As MP continued to perform, his style became tighter and the name, Da Marvelous Prince grew popular in the streets. The mixtapes he appeared on gave him a large amount of recognition. Such mix tapes include Street Wars Vol. 6, the Real Nasty ENT concert series, just to name a few. These opportunites gave him the experience to branch off and start his own companies. So Marvelous Dj’s,So Marvelous Beat Makerz,DMP Music Group,Da Marvelous Boyz Movement gives unsigned artist’s the chance to shine.Da Marvelous Prince is Proud to say that’s he’s affiliated with Ronald Mcdonald Charity House. This allows him to instill strong moral values by remaining a positive role model.Among his many accomplishments.
