HELLO, We would like to introduce Corey J to the Fayettenam Team.
Born as Corey J. Lanier, Ccrunkz has always been a very talented individual with the ability master anything he put his mind to. He's now known as a new armed forces member in the U.S. Army, he’s also know for being a rapper, dancer, photographer, song writer, and even music producer.
Ccrunkz was born July 3rd, 1989 in Ft. Hood Texas to Ronald and Lawanda Lanier. Raised with a military background his entire life he was always taught to never give up. With his mother being deployed every few years he spent a lot of time in Texas living with his grandmother. By the time he was in high school he found an interest in music and dancing. He soon found himself writing lyrics and studying music videos of his favorite artists like Usher, and Ludacris. In his senior year of high, (2007) he competed and won 1st place dancing to a dj mix.
After graduation from High school he attended college at Prairie View A&M University from 2008-2009. While attending, he honed in on his sound engineering abilities and video editing skills which lead to the development of a web video show called PVU The Real Hill. On this show he would interview various upcoming musical artist around campus, and then showcase them to a Facebook audience. He gained notoriety from on campus DJ’s who started to play a few of his songs at local parties. Soon he was performing live at different venues around town like the Plush Lounge in midtown Houston.
By the end of his first year of college he found it harder to keep of the cost of school and decided to go to the army to be able to keep funding both his music and educational careers. Today Ccrunkz lives in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and is a Video Information Operations Specialist.
