Aquil Jamal Thompson (born October 24, 1991), who performs under the polynym Aquil Jamal, is an Independent recording artist & song writer, representing North Las Vegas, NV. From Baltimore, MD by way of Bronx, NY. He started writing music at the age of 8, then moved to Las Vegas his 8th grade year where he began actually recording music. Though being a true Hip Hop fan now, he was exposed to more R&B as a child. His influences include Usher, Ginuwine, Juelz Santana, & Jay-Z, but it was older family members who actually inspired him to rap. He is known his remixes over popular beats during his high school years and songs with D-Ran. Aquil Jamal is one-half of the rap duo SMMDC (Self Made Music Dream Chasers).

Darren Fuller (born March 31, 1992), better known by his stage name D-Ran, is an American MC, rapper, representing North Las Vegas, NV. He was born and raised in "Sin City", and began rapping at the age of 18. He was exposed to Hip-Hop/Rap by his father as a young child. His influences are NaS, Kanye West, Three 6 Mafia, 8ball & MJG, and Fabolous. He fell in love with the art of making music after graduating from Cheyenne High School in 2010. He is known for his collaboration with T.R@bb on the mixtape 'The Made Life' and songs with Aquil Jamal. D-Ran is one-half of the rap duo SMMDC (Self Made Music Dream Chasers).
