With an unorthodox flow, upbeat delivery, and unique, the heart of E.T is everything that those encompasses and so much more, which is why the title, “The Heart of E.T,” is so befitting to this individual. Futuristic in every way, it only makes sense. He what is what happens when sci-fi meets swag. Imagine Captain Picard in a Snapback. But know, when it is said that he is the heart of E.T, it is not meant that he is the cardiovascular muscle that pumps blood through the body of Drew Barrymore’s childhood. He is the heart of East Tennessee, a place not known for hip-hop at all, and his name is Yung JV.

Born Javaris Moore in Bradley County and raised in Athens/ Etowah, TN, Yung JV learned the ways of the streets early on. Without his father in his life, Yung JV looked up to his older brother, Lovell or as everyone knows him by, Vell or Black, who served as the father figure that Yung JV was denied as a youth, but there was also another influence that steered Yung JV away from the life of the streets.

Older cousin, Frederick, taught Yung JV how to write music and put lyrics into a format that would spread across the world. And with that knowledge and two men who struggled and strived along with him, Yung JV at a very early age was ready to tackle the world of music and show everyone who doubted where he was from exactly what Athens, TN had to offer. Now twenty-five, Yung JV has been all over performing in clubs like the likes of Sweetwater Skating Rink, Chicago, IL, Club Red Iguana, Knoxville, TN, Club Copa Cobana, Knoxville, TN, 609 Lounge, Rome, GA, and of course, the hometown hero had to go back home to Athens, TN and perform at the local clubs, Club Double-O and Open Door.
