Welkom ,
Tulip Time is once again upon us and as a newcomer to Pella , I ’ m excited to see what it ’ s all about .
Having moved to Iowa ’ s Dutch village only recently , the tulips are always the first thing that others bring up when I tell them that I ’ m a new arrival . While out on my walks , I ’ ve also had the pleasure of walking past the flower beds as the tulips start to emerge from the soil . And while I ’ ve had plenty of people tell me how lovely they are and have seen the photos , I know the only thing that will do them justice is seeing them for myself .
It ’ s also the chance to experience the Dutch heritage that Pella natives pride themselves on . Aside from the Dutch letters ( maybe a few too many of these ) and some other edible trappings , I haven ’ t gotten the chance to experience my new home in its full splendor . I ’ ve had a taste of Holland , but not the full course .
Whether you ’ re an annual attendee of Tulip Time , or a first-timer like me , we hope you ’ ll enjoy yourself at Tulip Time , and we hope this guide will help you through the town at this special time of year . Oprecht ,
