Air Force Band of Mid-America Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble This great band has a long history of entertaining the American public and promoting esprit de corps within the military . The unit strives to inspire the hearts and minds of our men and women serving around the world and to tell the Air Force story through the universal language of music . The performances serve to instill patriotism , build partnerships , enhance the reputation of the Air Force and the United States and demonstrate American values to the world .
Friday Evening
ALMA from Central College Central students perform in a style familiar to many music lovers , with a small band and vocalist . Pop hits , Broadway standards and jazz favorites are all a part of their repertoire .
A special treat for everyone in the downtown area is the fireworks display on Friday night . Sponsored by Pella Corporation , this fireworks show is visible from the downtown area .
Saturday Evening
Tyler Richton and the High Bank Boys Join us at 6:30 p . m . for this high-energy , crowd-pleasing , danceable band who play iconic country cover tunes along with their own original award-winning songs . They come to us from Deep River , Iowa , and are entertaining for people of all ages .

Dutch Family Singers Listen and watch Dutch songs and traditional dances performed by an energetic group of families in Dutch costume .
Dutchesses A group of high school women sing traditional Dutch songs and perform Dutch dances in Dutch costume , complete with wooden shoes !
Pella High School Orchestra Strolling Strings ( Thursday and Friday only ) Members of the Pella Community High School Orchestra perform Dutch songs and classical music on violin , viola , cello and bass . Weather permitting .

Parades We have two parades each day of Tulip Time , featuring floats , marching bands , hundreds of people in Dutch costume and more ! The afternoon parade begins at 2:30 p . m ., and the lighted evening parade begins at 8:30 p . m . The parades make their way down Main Street , around Central Park , and past the Pella Historical Village on Franklin Street .
