A Taste of Judaism
Sundays, August 13, 20 & 27, 2 – 4 pm
Temple Emanu-El is proud to offer A Taste of Judaism, now
in its 18 th (Chai) year in Tucson. Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon and
Rabbi Batsheva Appel lead an open, interactive exploration
of Judaism in three, two-hour sessions on Spirituality, Values,
and Community. This free introductory class includes delicious
“tastes” of traditional Jewish foods prepared by Temple’s
Women of Reform Judaism. Pre-registration is required. Call

Senior Shabbat Luncheons
Select dates, 11:30 am – 1 pm
Get into the spirit of Shabbat! We’ll begin with Shabbat
music and blessings with The J’s Early Childhood Education
Center children, then enjoy a featured program with 8 th grade
students from Tucson Hebrew Academy and get to know one
another over a delicious catered lunch. Advance registration is

Hollywood screenwriter of Rugrats, Shrek, Smurfs and other
blockbusters. The hilarious and inspiring lecture will be
followed by Q&A and dessert and coffee reception. Co-
